It goes without saying that Scottsdale, AZ is one of the best cities in the nation to live in. It has earned its tittle of “The most liveable city” thanks to it is cultural and natural diversity.
I have been calling Scottsdale home for about two years now and I always enjoy strolling around downtown area during the day.
Downtown Scottsdale has a lot to offer from museums to art galleries, street sculptures, retail stores and restaurants. It is capable of satisfying all tastes. In this write up I will share with you five different ways to explore this beautiful city.
Ride a rental bike
Scottsdale is generally a bicycle friendly city with a lot of dock-less bikes that can be found all around old town Scottsdale. Biking is a great way to explore the city. Not only it is healthy and environment friendly, it is also efficient and will allow you to see a lot in a shorter amount of time.
How do I find a bike in Scottsdale?
Download the Social Bike mobile app (Sobi). This app will help you locate available hubs and bikes near you and will allow you to make a reservation in advance.
The cost is an average of $1 for every 30-minutes to be charged to your account.
What trail to choose?

Ride a Scooter
Electric scooters are all over the place nowadays in Scottsdale. They can be rented using a mobile app, it is a fun way to explore the city. The scooters have a speed up to 20 mph and can be rented for about $0.15 per mile.
The newer scooters deployed in the city come with helmets for safety, which I am so happy to see!!
Hop in the trolley
Not a lot of people know this but there is a FREE trolley that runs around old town Scottsdale everyday every 15 minutes from 10:00 am to 09:25 pm. The driver usually talks about main landmarks, best restaurants and places to visit while in Scottsdale. Take a walk
Nothing beats a long walk around downtown Scottsdale, especially if you are the type of person who likes to take it easy and slowly to enjoy what the city has to offer.
Go on a guided Segway tour
Segway tours are soooo much fun!!! If you have not tried those yet, you absolutely should! You get to learn how to ride a Segway which is pretty cool!!! You are usually matched with a group of people and a guide.
