The weather is getting very beautiful in the valley of the sun, beautiful enough to go for an early morning hike on a Sunday.
As I invited few of my coworkers to join, I was looking for more of a relaxed hike to watch the sunrise and soak in some fresh air.
Nothing like the typical “Camelback” hike
I chose ” Pinnacle peak” in Pinnacle peak park in Scottsdale Arizona
We started hiking around 06:15 am. This is a good hike if you want to get your feet soaked and get into hiking here in Arizona.
Pinnacle peak is a 3.5 miles trail with beautiful wild flowers, Chollas and Saguaros. While there is a 3171 feet peak, the trail only goes to an elevation of 2889 ft but the views are spectacular and is worth hiking. the park is also open to rock climbers with an accessible trail that leads to the summit.
Here are some photos that I snapped.
When we finished the hike, there was a kiosk at the trail head offering organic key limes, i grabbed some to make some ginger tea…My favorite tea!!!
I will share with you in an upcoming article how I like my Ginger tea (Stay tuned)
Have a wonderful week!!
This sounds like my kind of trail. Now that we’re coming into the perfect weather for hiking, I’ll add this one to my list. Thanks!
