Antelope Canyon is one of the most visited natural sites in the USA generally and the American Southwest particularly.
There are two different tours : Lower Antelope Canyon and Upper Antelope Canyon. This particular article will focus on lower Antelope Canyon.
How to get there?
Lower Antelope Canyon is a 5 hour drive from Las vegas, 4 hours from metro phoenix, 2 hours from the Grand Canyon National park and only 10 minutes drive from Page, AZ.

your best option here is to aim for Page, AZ, a city in Coconino County, Arizona. There is a lot of accommodation options to choose from.
Where to buy a tour ticket?
Antelope Canyon is on the Navajo land and so permits are needed to tour this area.
Ken’s tour is a known tour company. A typical tour takes 45 to 60 minutes during which the guide walks you through some geology basics and how the canyon was formed.

What else can I do near the canyon?
The famous horse shoe bend is only 15 minutes drive from lower Antelope Canyon and is a very short easy hike.
Glen Canyon Dam and lake powell are also 15 minutes drive from Antelope Canyon.
Tough small, Page, AZ is a rich town and is close to some of the best monuments in the American southwest.
And of course, if you haven’t visited the Grand Canyon, then it is probably the right time to spend one day at least in this beautiful national park.
